Seeking a Board Member to Oversee Accounting, Tax Filings

Board Member

The Board member will provide bookkeeping/accounting and tax filing for the organization.  Bookkeeping involves use of Quickbooks and a ledger kept by staff on Google docs.  Included is program expenses including funds used by participants to start their own businesses.  Otherwise it’s a fairly light load.  State and local taxes are typical.  Operating budget is under $200K/year.

We are a working Board. All members give, on average, 4 hours per month to the organization.

In 2025 we will onboard our first full time, paid executive director. We have a part time instructor and part time life coach too.

The Board is highly collaborative and supportive. This is a great opportunity for someone who has never been on a Board. We use every ounce of our organization to empower those from the communities we serve.
