Role Summary We are looking for a Treasurer with a robust financial background and a strong passion for the arts, particularly dance. This voluntary role is ideal for a finance professional who is eager to play a pivotal part in advancing the cultural scene by supporting the innovative use of break dancing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting and oversee budgets in collaboration with the board.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to support the foundation’s growth and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with financial laws and best practices, including nonprofit rules and regulations.
• Manage fundraising efforts, including managing and invoicing donations.
• Handle all aspects of bookkeeping, check writing, deposits, donor acknowledgements, reconcile bank accounts, and manage banking relationships.
• Manage insurance needs and conduct risk assessments to ensure the foundation’s activities are securely supported.

Requirements

• CPA certification preferred.
• Proven track record in financial management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong commitment to promoting break dancing as a transformative art form.
