Jennifer Cravens, Executive Professor of Accounting, Central Washington University
Jenny Cravens, CPA, is a dynamic educator, coach and consultant focused on bridging the gap between the professional world and the world humans and organizations actually live in. Her 25 years of leadership experience spans public accounting, healthcare, banking and higher education. Her clients range from individuals and organizations to students and seasoned executives.
An experienced C-suite executive and corporate board member, Jenny’s technical skills include risk management, finance, governance, ethics, auditing, mergers & acquisitions and banking. As a proud CPA, Jenny believes that while strong technical skills are critical to anyone in the accounting profession, they are not the source of a CPA’s superpower. She also believes far too few CPAs and organizations understand that power source.
Jenny is currently the P.R. O’Shaughnessy Executive Professor of Accounting at Central Washington University. She is also a board member and chair of the audit and enterprise risk committees of Confluence Health. In those roles, she uses her unique skillset to bridge perspectives, reduce risk and blind spots, establish critical infrastructure, and inspire current and future leaders to be ready for both the challenges of today and the unknowns of tomorrow.
